We started 21 Media after one too many meetings that should have been a recording. Good work was getting lost in the gap between what people meant and what they managed to type at 9:31 in the morning.

So we set a constraint: build software a small team can feel the entire shape of. No roadmaps stretched across a dozen half-finished bets. One product, sharpened until it disappears into the work. The name is a quiet joke, the studio is exactly twenty-one people short of the company we’re often mistaken for, and we’d like to keep it that way.

Moonshot is what that looks like in practice: you hit record, and the busywork, the summary, the issue, the follow-up, writes itself. We think the best tools are the ones you stop noticing. That’s the bar.
