Capabilities, without the spin
Screen Studio is macOS only. Moonshot is Mac today, with a browser extension coming soon, so platform barely separates the two from each other, though both still trail Loom.

No, and it is not close. Screen Studio is purpose built for cinematic screen recordings with auto zoom and cursor smoothing. Moonshot invests in the written outcome instead, so for a premium video, Screen Studio wins outright.
Can I use Screen Studio and Moonshot together?
Often the right answer. Use Screen Studio for the polished external demo, and Moonshot for internal recordings that need to become tickets and summaries. They rarely compete for the same recording.
